The Goodwood Revival 2021 - Wakefields Highlights
This year the Wakefields team was lucky enough to attend the Goodwood Revival at Goodwood Motor Circuit, hosting a selection of our loyal customers to step back in time alongside us for a day of nostalgia.
What is the Goodwood Revival?
Hosted every September since 1998, the Revival recreates the golden era of Goodwood Motor Circuit, between 1948 and 1966. The extraordinary event, a theatrical and sporting drama, assembles the most significant racing cars and motorcycles along with legendary drivers and riders from the past and stars of today. Everyone who attends the Revival dresses in the vintage style of the time, making the event a fully-immersive, journey back through the decades.
A Day at the Revival
From the moment you entered the event, it was like having stepped into a time machine. Even the smallest of details had been considered, creating the perfect illusion that you were truly experiencing another era in time.
From a glamorous 1920’s Hollywood themed ball (which showcased tap dancers and indoor fireworks to create a party that would rival one hosted by Jay Gatsby!), to a Revival Cinema and Casino, there was so much to experience. As well as a whole host of old-fashioned aircraft and vehicles to cast your eyes over, that also provided the perfect setting for many photo opportunities.
Vintage Inspired Designs
Melanie Wakefield attended the 1920’s, Hollywood Glamour themed ball at The Revival, pairing her evening attire with elegant fine jewellery designs.
Exquisite vintage-inspired designs, both Melanie’s diamond earrings, and contrasting onyx and diamond necklace perfectly captured the iconic geometric look & feel of Art Deco design. Whilst her bracelet was a genuine, platinum and diamond creation from the 1920’s - the perfect piece to wear to attend the Revival.
