THE OSCARS JEWELLERY 2019: LADY GAGA’S FAMOUS YELLOW DIAMOND NECKLACE
Last night singer Lady Gaga took home an Oscar for ‘Best Original Song’ for ‘Shallow’ featured in ‘A Star is Born’ which she starred in alongside actor, Bradley Cooper.
Their breath-taking performance of Shallow truly captivated everyone, but it wasn’t just the pair’s natural chemistry that caught our attention. The strikingg diamond necklace she wore during their duet was absolutely stunning.
Lady Gaga paired her black Alexander McQueen gown with matching leather gloves, and a HUGE yellow diamond. The Tiffany Yellow Diamond.
The diamond 128.54 carat itself is famous in its own right, popularized in a publicity shoot for ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ worn by Audrey Hepburn, who incidentally was also the last person to wear it. The necklace didn’t look the same however, Lady Gaga’s version is a much more modern take on Hepburn’s version.
Some people noticed a similarity between the design of Gaga’s necklace, and the ‘Isadora Diamond’ Kate Hudson wore during one scene in the chick-flick ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ – purely coincidental we’re sure!
