Earlier this year TUDOR expanded their iconic Black Bay family to include 3 new models, with a focus on appealing to a wider audience. The new Black Bay 323641 S&G designs offer elegant and versatile alternatives to women, smaller wrists, formal occasions or vintage lovers.

While these models reflect the trademark aesthetic features of the Black Bay line, they also introduce subtle, new details. Their dials and sapphire crystals are both flat as opposed to the domed ones found in the rest of the line. The black dial boasts a lacquered, glossy finish with a golden touch while the Champagne-colour dial is sun-brushed and last but not least, the bezel is fixed made of brushed yellow gold.

The gold elements on the Black Bay 32, 36, 41 S&G models have a satin-brushed or sandblasted matt finish. This effect gives an intended warm tone to the yellow gold, a distinctive vintage look and feel to the watches.

The bezel and the first centre-links of the Black Bay 323641 S&G’s bracelet, at 12 and 6 o’clock, are made of 18k solid yellow gold. The other links as well as the crown are made using a gold-shell technique, where a piece of solid gold is folded over a core of stainless steel. Unlike gold-plating, this technique allows for multiple polishing jobs at service as the gold layer is far thicker.
