It was another busy weekend for the team at Wakefields, who donned their finery and set off for South Lodge for a ‘James Bond Inspired’ event on Sunday. Dressed to impress, their sharp suits and sparkling diamonds weren’t the only sights to behold, as the team were showcasing some of the finest collections from Rolex too. Alongside, fine jewellery designer Shaun Leane, brought along his exquisite collection of jewellery for guests to cast their eyes over as well. The jewellery’s harmonious balance of classic and contemporary, running parallels with Ian Fleming’s novels which continue to inspire the minds of many across the globe.

Set in the stunning surroundings of South Lodge, the hotel were meticulous in ensuring every aspect of the day ran smoothly without fault. From the delectable array of pastries and coffee that greeted guests on Sunday morning, to the delicious, live cooking demonstrations from the onsite chefs and of course the opulent interior and grounds of the hotel itself, which set the tone for the Bond inspired event. South Lodge truly went above and beyond, contributing to the overall triumph of the day.

Harwoods brought along with them a fantastic array of super cars to be driven by guests, a luxurious assortment ranging from Aston Martins to Jaguars, the cars captured the lavish Bond lifestyle perfectly. For those who were able to peel themselves away from the super cars outside for long enough, would have seen the actual Aston Martins that were featured in the much anticipated movie, Casino Royal. The perfectly pristine vehicle sat parallel to the ‘distressed’ version which had been wrecked during the filming of that Bond film, in one of James Bond’s infamous, high-octane chase scenes.

Throughout the day Harwoods were running a competition for guests to see who could win the fastest lap time on the Gran Turismo simulators they had bought along for the event. The competition between guests created a light hearted sense of fun rivalry that enhanced the overall experience of the day.

In order to tie in with one of Daniel Craig’s most memorable James Bond films, Casino Royale, Lee Burridge offered a hint of magic through his deck of cards. The highly skilled magician, was enrapturing guests with his unbelievable sleight of hand. Performing tricks that left everyone in total disbelief, Lee bought a piece of Vegas-style entertainment to South Lodge.

Finally, of course we couldn’t hold a James Bond event without the man himself! Steve Wright, official Daniel Craig double was only too happy to pose with guests. Bringing with him his effortless charm, Steve took on the role with great panache, capturing the suave sophistication of Mr Bond – he caused quite the stir amongst many aspiring Bond girls during the event!
