Beautiful model and blonde bombshell, Kate Upton, announced her engagement to sportsman, Justin Verlander last week as she stepped out onto the red carpet at the Met Gala showcasing an incredibly stunning diamond ring.

The 23 year old confirmed the news as she beamed to the press, ‘I’m really excited, he asked me right before season started so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while – I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world!’

   

 

  

Having been together for a little over three years, Kate and Justin have been reported to have been involved in the design process with jeweller, Anita Ko – ‘Justin and I collaborated on creating the most perfect, one of a kind ring that is rare and of exceptional quality…just like their love.’

At a glance the ring appears to be an 8 carat round brilliant cut single diamond centre stone in a four claw setting, surrounded by swags of smaller pavé stones for an extra layer of sparkle – with such an exquisite diamond, the ring’s classic, simplistic design really highlights the extravagant beauty.

Kate Upton looked simply radiant as she ascended the stairs of the Met Gala (we’d be smiling too with a ring that size!) in a custom-designed gown from Topshop that accentuated her enviable figure. Keeping her look elegant and simple, the model opted for soft curls, a smoky eye, nude lips and matching gold heels and clutch bag to complete her look.
