No one expected the timepiece to have quite the effect it did, though images of the wristwatch had been well received over social media. Selling at nearly 108 times that of it’s estimated value, Tudor’s Black Bay One fetched the price of CHF 375,000 (£247,776).

Not only breaking conventions in terms of innovative design, Tudor have taken pioneering steps by launching this timepiece outside of the traditional Baselworld cycle – ultimately adding to the overall prestige of the Black Bay Black itself.

The exclusive Tudor watch will be available to purchase on a steel bracelet with the leather strap version joining the collection in November*.
