BAFTA’s 2018: The Best Jewellery from the Red Carpet

Would it be a red carpet event, unless we gave our round up on the most beautiful jewellery sported by the stars?

BAFTAs - 2018 - The Best Dressed Jewellery

Last night saw an array of our favourite celebrities, stepping out onto the red carpet in celebration of the BAFTA’s 2018. Like the Golden Globes a month before, the stars united in black in support of the ‘Time’s Up’ campaign. Letting their dresses make the statement, most of the celebrities opted for stripped back jewellery look, however there were a few exceptions which are definitely noteworthy!

So without further ado, here’s our top jewellery looks from the BAFTA’s 2018, separated into two definitive categories. Emeralds and diamonds.

Emerald Jewellery at the BAFTA’s 2018

Jennifer Lawrence

Exuding classic Hollywood glamour, Jennifer Lawrence’s gown for the evening was a classic silk dress with cinched in bodice and semi sheer back. With a decidedly angular and geometric shape, the design beautifully highlighted Jennifer’s emerald jewellery designs.

Sporting both a pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings, as well as an emerald and diamond cluster ring, we think both designs complemented her look perfectly.

Kate Middleton

Opting out of the black dress code, Kate Middleton wore a stunning dark green gown with a little nod towards the campaign with her black clutch bag and sash. The ensemble beautifully highlighted the stunning emerald and diamond jewellery she wore on the night.

A striking set including stud earrings, necklace and bracelet, all alongside her exquisite blue sapphire engagement ring, Kate and her bump looked beautifully royal as she truly glowed on the red carpet.

Gemma Arterton

Following suit with Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Middleton, Gemma Arterton wore striking emerald jewellery designs. Teamed with her asymmetric black evening gown, the actress completed her look with emerald and diamond drop earrings and necklace.

Both pieces were very classic and traditional in their design, beautifully contrasting with the contemporary feel of her dress.

Diamond Jewellery at the BAFTA’s 2018

Margot Robbie

Always exuding natural beauty, Margot’s look of the night was no different. Keeping her look simple, the actress sported a beautiful black gown with diamond stud earrings.

Instead of a classic single stud design, the earrings were almost floral in their design – the perfect way to switch your style up for spring.

Angelina Jolie

Elegant and chic, Angelina Jolie’s BAFTA’s look was perfect for the actress. The off the shoulder, velvet, floor length gown was beautifully complemented by a pair of pear-shaped diamond drop earrings.

Lily James

A gothic twist on a fairy tale-esque gown, the Cinderella actress looked every part a Princess as she walked down the red carpet.

Letting her dress make a statement, the actress opted for glamorous earrings, not too dissimilar from Angelina Jolie’s. The diamond drop earrings beautifully completed her look, but it wasn’t that piece of jewellery that caught everyone’s attention. Instead it was the large diamond ring that adorned her ring finger! Sparking rumours that Lily has been proposed to by long-time boyfriend, actor Matt Smith – we’ll keep our fingers crossed on more information on this one!
