Shaun Leane Women's Jewellery

About Shaun Leane

A leader at the forefront of contemporary jewellery in fashion and rising star in the jewellery industry, Shaun Leane started from humble beginnings. Starting out his career in the trade, he took on an apprenticeship in Hatton Garden working with traditional British jewellery. For over thirteen years he was fully immersed in the craft of goldsmithing, fashioning delicate antique pieces and incorporating precious metals and rare stones. After taking a break to study fine art and silver smithing at a formal course at Sir John Cass College in East London, he returned a full circle and establish an independent business in Hatton Garden.

Passionate about innovative design, particularly in fashion, Shaun Leane draws inspiration from all aspects of his city surroundings – street culture, urban life and the club scenes are all values and themes he aims to incorporate in every aspect of his design process. He goes above and beyond to ensure that his designs not only function as striking and fun accessories, but say something about the individual. His expressive pieces are vivid, art forms that simply demand to be worn.

Following his collaboration in 1991 with Alexander McQueen, Shaun Leane produced a number of extravagant and decadent pieces for McQueen’s catwalk shows. Throughout their partnership, the pair ran parallels in their success; the scale Shaun Leane’s designs rocketed alongside McQueen’s ever increasing dramatic catwalk presentations. In the wake of his achievements, brushing shoulders amongst the stars became a regular occurrence – forming further alliances with designer Marc Jacob and crafting bespoke pieces for iconic figures such as Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jade Jagger and Elton John, to name a few, Shaun Leane became a star by his own rights within the jewellery world.

The latest collection amidst a whole assortment of striking and intricate designs, the aptly named, ‘Signature Tusk’ collection features a range of sleek, streamlined earrings taking on the form of tusks. Exuding understated, elegance and sophistication, the selection has become an archetypal modern classic – crafted in luxurious silver, gold vermeil and rose gold vermeil, the sculpted yet sharp silhouettes are the definition of the House of Shaun Leane’s philosophy and aesthetic.
