2017 was a fabulous year for exciting celebrity engagements. Most notably, we saw Prince Harry announce his royal engagement to Meghan Markle, which sparked a new trend for three-stone diamond rings. And of course celebrity engagements and exquisite diamond rings go hand in hand, and we’ve had plenty of sparkle to marvel over this year!

Whilst celebrities seemingly have an infinite budget, from which to purchase outstandingly beautiful rings, it doesn’t mean that we can’t take a style tip or two from our favourite stars, and find a ring in the same style that’s just a little bit more within our budgets.

To give you all some serious inspiration, we’ve selected a few celebrity engagement rings from across the years, and found their more affordable counterparts, from our bridal boutique brand in store, Brown & Newirth.

So without further ado, take a peek at our sparkling selection of diamond engagement rings!

Meghan Markle

We couldn’t start this list off without highlighting Meghan’s gorgeous three stone diamond ring. Experts have estimated the value of the ring to be within the realms of £122,500, but you needn’t break the bank to find a similar design! In fact Brown & Newirth offer a variety of stunning three-stone diamond rings, in a variety of cuts and settings which will give you all the glamour of Meghan’s royal ring, without the price tag to match! This ‘Desire’ ring is one of our personal favourites.

Miranda Kerr

It seemed only natural for Miranda Kerr to announce her engagement over snapchat, consider she’s marrying the founder of the app! And whilst the custom made filter was incredibly sweet, it was the striking ring that caught our attention! Estimated to be worth around $100,000, the round-cut diamond in between two tapered baguettes is certainly stunning, but Brown & Newirth’s ‘Tulip’ ring beautifully mimics the style, without the diamond shoulder detailing.

Amal Clooney

Said to be worth £450,000 Amal’s incredible emerald-cut diamond ring is undeniably beautiful, but not that ideal for everyday wear! But Brown & Newirth’s emerald-cut ‘Fantasia’ ring offers a striking single stone alternative that can be worn all day long – it might not have the tapered baguette detailing of Amal’s ring, but this single stone is definitely a stylish and stunning design.

Amy Adams

It might be a bit of a throwback, but we’re still in love with Amy Adams’ engagement ring from 2008. These days she wears the diamond halo ring with contrasting yellow & rose gold eternity bands, but this stunning ring is a classic that can be easily copied! We think Brown & Newirth’s ‘Aster’ ring is a beautiful design, minus the diamond shoulders. If you really want to copy the actresses’ style, then you can team this gorgeous halo ring with matching diamond eternity bands in yellow & rose too – we like the ‘Eternal’ and ‘Delta’ designs Brown & Newirth has to offer.

Natalie Portman

Another halo cluster, Natalie Portman’s engagement ring packs some serious sparkle! With a double halo, and shaped-to-fit diamond rings surrounding the design we can only imagine how much this ring would be worth! Brown & Newirth have designed the ‘Aurora’ ring which beautifully mimics the elegance of Natalie’s ring, even down to the shoulder detailing!

Miley Cyrus

With her on-again, off-again fiancé Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus’ engagement ring breaks the celebrity convention of platinum bands, opting for a yellow gold single-stone design instead. With intricate detailing and diamond shoulders, we’re reminded of how stunning yellow gold engagement rings are. Brown & Newirth’s ‘Rosa’ ring is elegant and traditional, and a beautiful choice for ladies who love classic design.

Jennifer Hudson

Celebrities love a diamond halo cluster ring, and Jennifer Hudson is no exception! With a five-carat centre stone this ring is truly a work of art! If you’re looking to steal Jen’s style, then Brown & Newirth’s ‘Forever’ ring is a mirror match!

Emily Blunt

The actress Emily Blunt got engaged to her partner John Krasinki in 2009 with an Edwardian single stone engagement ring. Very much a vintage ring with a modern twist, we love how this proves just how timeless a single-stone design can be. Brown & Newirth have a similar ring, ‘Orchid,’ which beautifully demonstrates the sparkling appeal of single stone diamond rings.

Michelle Obama

Married in 1992, it’s been reported that Barack proposed to Michelle over a romantic candlelit dinner, presenting her with a beautiful round-cut diamond ring. A classic design that’s stood the test of time, Brown & Newirth’s ‘Clematis’ ring is a gorgeous match to the ex-first lady’s ring.

Keira Knightly

Announcing her engagement in 2012, Keira Knightly wears a brilliant-cut solitaire ring, that’s every bit as elegant and understated as the model / actress. By choosing such a classic design it’s incredibly easy to recreate Keira’s engagement style. We’re highlighting this ‘Moonrise’ ring from Brown & Newirth that’s definitely sophisticated and stylish.
